As mentioned in my previous post, I am moving to Linux as my primary OS. Today I will summarize my choices in applications to solve a multitude of tasks which I have taken on over the years. Some may fit you too or give you other ideas and options … I chose LinuxMint as my daily driver because:
- It is a “nicer interface” than pure Ubuntu
- The progress in upgrading the underlying Ubuntu is slower – for stability
- A large user and developer community is likely to keep the project running
I am not a “gamer” and not a desktop decorator. IFÂ nice pictures slide through my background screen it is fine with me – but surely not a requirement or necessity.
